Although Roth himself was born in Nice, his family history is in Switzerland. The Daniel Roth watch brand was created in 1989 in the Vallée de Joux in Switzerland Daniel Roth watches are beautifully made luxury watches. There are workshops in Le Sentier as well as in Geneva. He has an established history within the watchmaking industry, working at Jaeger-LeCoultre Audemars Piguet and Breguet.
In 2000 Daniel Roth was purchased by the Bulgari Group.
Some of the most famous watches that Daniel Roth has produced are the tourbillon with an 8-day power reserve and the instantaneous perpetual calendar. Another is the Westminster Grande Sonnerie Carillon, which is the only automatic four-gong chiming wristwatch in production.
The Daniel Roth collection is comprised of two main lines, the Daniel Roth Masters and the Daniel Roth Academic.
