The history of Perrelet watches
Perrelet was founded in 1777 by Abraham Louis Perrelet. In 1777 he had created the automatic movement that no one has found a way to improve this from this day. In 1780 he had developed the first pedometer that makes him the first person to create watches with a cylinder. In 1995 The House of Perrelet perfected and produces the first double rotor which is a unique system in which connects the winding weight of the automatic system to a rotor on the dial side.
In 2012 Perrelet takes a new step on the path towards autonomy by adopting and equipping most of its timepieces with Caliber P-321 which is a modern edition of the Perrelet Double Rotor. In addition to its traditional automatic winding rotor which is on the back of the movement and another spinning rotor is on the face of the watch under the hands.
